Get off to a great start with a Rookery Hall traditional breakfast

At Hand Picked Hotels we know that a great hot breakfast is best kept simple: use fresh food, fine ingredients, cook it to order and serve it at the table. 

A delicious cold buffet is also available, including a wide selection of fruit juices such as Cheshire apple juice from Eddisbury Fruit Farm and Alison’s Cordials, a wide selection of cereals, Tiresford Gold yoghurt from Tarporley, dried and fresh fruits, nuts and seeds, cold meats and bakery items. Specialties include delicious Cheshire honey and you will also find a variety of the famous Mrs Darlington’s Cheshire jams, marmalades and curds and of course a choice of cheeses including a local Cheshire for which the region is particularly renowned.

Also available upon request are brown and white gluten free bread, diabetic jam and soya milk. Breakfast is completed with fruit juices, milk, coffee and tea pots, with a selection of fine teas to order. You will also find bottled mineral water available.

In September 2016 Rookery Hall Hotel & Spa was awarded the AA Breakfast Award. This is awarded in recognition of a high quality breakfast with emphasis on the very best sourced ingredients. The breakfast has to be cooked with skill and passion and served with excellent hospitality and service.

Grilled English smoked bacon, Rookery’s own recipe pork and parsley sausage, tomato, flat mushroom, black pudding, baked beans and potato cake, served with your choice of fried, scrambled or poached eggs, (vegetarian sausages available).

  • Freshly carved ham served on a toasted English breakfast muffin with poached eggs, hollandaise sauce and grilled tomato
  • Homemade pancakes with seasonal fruit compote and maple syrup
  • Two boiled eggs with toasted soldiers (Marmite optional)
  • Hot porridge made with your choice of fresh milk, cream or water served with honey, warm jam and cream
  • Bacon, sausage, fried egg sandwich (you choose your preferred combination) served on locally baked crusty farmhouse bread. Choose granary or white (vegetarian sausages available)
  • Fillet of oak smoked haddock with a poached egg and lemon
  • Grilled oak smoked Manx kipper served with butter and lemon
  • Oak smoked Scottish salmon with scrambled eggs and toasted brioche
  • Flat mushroom, tomato, vegetarian sausage, baked beans and hash browns, your choice of fried, scrambled or poached eggs, freshly sliced toast, butter and preserves, choose from granary or white
