Once a private residence in the early 1790s, the hotel is one of only two Grade II listed country home hotels in Bath today. Although it underwent a £10 million restoration in 2013, it retains all of its 18th century charm.
Just a short drive from the centre of Bath, Bailbrook House is set in 20 acres of grounds. It offers a perfect escape for a weekend break or just a day of indulgence away from all the hustle and bustle of the city.
As a dog-friendly hotel, we’re also happy to welcome your canine friends any time.
A Hand Picked Hotels treasure
There’s lots to explore at Bailbrook House. Its 94 individually-styled feature bedrooms are spread across the historic Mansion House, where you’ll find 13 bedrooms bursting with character and Bailbrook Court, housing 81 classic and executive bedrooms
Every room offers excellent views across the hotel grounds and City of Bath. You can also relax in one of the three Royal Lounges or the Conservatory bar.
Country home hotel with character
Fancy having lunch or dinner in a 2 AA Rosette restaurant?
The hotel’s restaurant, Cloisters, is situated within the original basement of the Mansion House and takes full advantage of the stunning architectural features.
The ceiling, for instance, includes a set of round domes supported by pillars, made entirely of restored Bath Stone.
Fine dining at a Bath country house hotel
