Hotel accessibility

At Fawsley Hall Hotel & Spa we treat our guests as individuals and therefore we have a range of facilities catering for people of all abilities. 

Pre arrival

  • Prior to arrival guests can speak with a member of the reservations team in order to confirm requirements and general suitability of Fawsley Hotel & Spa

Parking

  • Accessible parking and a drop off area is available, assistance with luggage is also available
  • Car park spaces are currently unmarked
  • Car park surface is tarmac/resin
  • Route from accessible parking has no steps and is lit

Entrance and reception

  • The main hotel entrance has has a slight lip due to the door surround
  • Entrance from accessible parking should be via the main entrance and not via the bar entrance which has a double door that is not easily accessible for wheelchair users
  • Entrance is lit at all times
  • Hearing loop at reception
  • Entrance to reception from main entrance has no steps
  • Reception floor is tiled and suitable for wheelchairs
  • Seating is available in the reception area
  • Accessible WC available near the entrance

Bedrooms

  • 2 accessible bedrooms available at Fawsley Hall
  • Bedroom with non-allergenic bedding is available on request
  • All bedrooms are ensuite
  • 2 bedrooms have walk in showers
  • Laundry service is available
  • All bedrooms have remote controlled TVs
  • Subtitles are available on the TVs
  • Internet access is available in bedrooms

  • Tea and coffee making facilities in all bedrooms
  • Patios are not fully accessible by wheelchair, a mobile ramp is required and some small steps

  • All restaurants can cater for special dietary requirements on prior request (gluten free, lactose free, nut free, vegetarian, vegan) other dietary requirements may be catered for with prior discussion

  • Treatment and manicure rooms are accessed from spa reception
  • Massage couches can be hydraulically lowered to wheelchair height or lower. Please inform us when you book so that we can reserve an appropriate room and allow extra therapist time or arrange additional assistance
  • Our manicure room is accessible from spa reception 
  • Relaxation room is on the first floor and accessed via a spiral staircase
  • The swimming pool has steps en-route 
  • Hydrotherapy sauna - access on ground floor via swimming pool
  • Hydrotherapy steam - access on ground floor via swimming pool
  • Accessible toilet/shower is available on the ground floor from spa reception
  • Gym  - access on the ground floor
  • Facilities which are inaccessible with a wheelchair due to being down a flight of stairs and no lift:
    • Swimming pool – steps on route, steps into pool, no hoist
    • Outside hydropool - steps on route, step up and steps in
    • Poolside steam room
    • Relaxation room - the only access is via stairs to the second floor 

General accessibility

  • Staff are on hand to assist 24 hours a day
  • Emergency evacuation procedure for guests requiring assistance (please notify on arrival if assistance on evacuation needed)
  • Assistance dogs accepted with prior notice
  • In accordance with legislation smoking is not permitted in the hotel
  • Mobile phone signal is good with some providers, not good with others – patchy depending on location within hotel and grounds. Some providers have no signal
  • The fire alarm system is bells and sirens and does not have flashing lights. Assistance is given with evacuation if necessary
  • The bells and sirens will ring continuously if evacuation is needed if you require assistance for evacuation please notify us on arrival
