At Rhinefield House Hotel we treat our guests as individuals and therefore we have a range of facilities catering for people of all abilities. 

Pre arrival

  • Prior to arrival guests can speak with a member of the reservations team in order to confirm requirements and general suitability of Rhinefield House

Parking

Entrance and reception

  • The main hotel entrance has two steps initially and then a further step at the main door, the alternative entrance has no step or ramp

  • 15 bedrooms have a walk in shower therefore there is a small lip to step over

  • All restaurants can cater for special dietary requirements on prior request (gluten free, lactose free, nut free, vegetarian, vegan) other dietary requirements may be catered for with prior discussion
  • All meals can be cut up for ease of eating, food may also be pureed/thickened if needed in all restaurants
  • 24h in room dining is available should you wish to eat from the comfort of your room

Leisure Facilities

  • Leisure reception  -  access either via steps through the hotel or via the main entrance and then round the side of the hotel, please speak to a member of our team for more information
  • Ground floor treatment rooms are accessed via a ramp from reception
  • Massage couches can be hydraulically lowered to wheelchair height or lower. Please inform us when you book so that we can reserve an appropriate room and allow extra therapist time or arrange additional assistance
  • The swimming pool is accessed via the leisure reception on the ground floor, or through a narrow external back entrance
  • A pool hoist is available. Please give us prior notice so that trained staff are on hand to assemble the hoist and provide assistance.
  • The spa pool is on the ground floor and accessed via the swimming pool. Please give us prior notice so that trained staff are on hand to assemble the hoist if required and provide assistance
  • Sauna - access on ground floor via swimming pool
  • Steam - access on ground floor via swimming pool
  • Accessible toilet/shower is available on the ground floor
  • Gym  - access on the ground floor
  • Facilities which are inaccessible with a wheelchair: all wet facilities unless able to pass through a narrow corridor.

General accessibility

  • Staff are on hand to assist 24 hours a day
  • Emergency evacuation procedure for guests requiring assistance (please notify on arrival if assistance on evacuation needed)
  • Assistance dogs accepted with prior notice
  • In accordance with legislation smoking is not permitted in the hotel
  • Mobile phone signal with most providers is weak/medium in the area
  • The fire alarm system is bells, sirens and flashing lights. Assistance is given with evacuation if necessary
  • The bells and sirens will ring continuously if evacuation is needed if you require assistance for evacuation please notify us on arrival
