Winter weddings in Hampshire

Winter (December, January and February) sets the scene for a truly romantic wedding at Rhinefield House Hotel and if you are lucky enough to get a dusting of snow, your wedding photos really will look like a fairytale winter wonderland.

The light can be amazing for your wedding photography; by using candelabra’s, bountiful natural light through of magnificent bay window and Victorian chandeliers adorning our Hampshire wedding venue, it will look spectacular. With colder weather your wedding party can accessorise with faux fur wraps, fluffy stoles or a velvet shrug or for a more dazzling look why not hold your wedding on New Year’s Eve. A perfect excuse for a black tie affair and party that lasts into the early hours.

With flowers in more limited supply during winter, you can embrace a more dramatic look and feel to your décor with bouquets and arrangements of crystal garlands, sprig of fir, cinnamon sticks, mistletoe and frosted flowers. Of course, Christmas colours can set the theme for your wedding and our Grand Hall makes the ideal luxurious setting for a festive banquet.

A winter wedding allows for gourmet cheese boards and vintage port, and copious amounts of comfort food. Your guests will not be leaving hungry or unsatisfied, you can offer them mulled cider with filo-baked figs stuffed with peppered goat’s cheese to nibble on, followed by a festive dinner and yule log, gingerbread pudding, crumble to follow. It’s the most wonderful time of the year – for a wedding!
