Cramond Promenade

Just 15-20 minutes drive away with free parking. Cramond Promenade offers a scenic walk, total return distance is 4.2 miles, with views our across Firth of Forth. You can choose to walk along the shoreline or the paved promenade and there is plenty of open space for dogs.

Harlaw Reservoir & Pine Forest

20 minutes' drive away you'll find Harlaw Reservoir, situated in the Pentland Hills Regional Park. Choose from a variety of country walks around this outstanding area of natural beauty. There is an orienteering trail for families available too.

Yellowcraig Beach

It will take around 40 minutes to get to this sandy beach from Norton House. There is a dog-walk located just off the beach however dogs are allowed on the beach too. If you are planning a day out with children they can spend hours exploring the dunes and rock pools or in the pirate themed adventure play area.

Falkirk Wheel to The Kelpies

Drive 40 minutes to the Falkirk Wheel to begin this sight-seeing walk. You'll pick up the canal path and walk 6.67km until you reach the incredible Kelpies - two 30 metre high horse-head structures located in the Helix parkland.

St Andrews' Beaches

Almost two miles of sandy beach backed by dunes make this an ideal location to spend a few hours roaming. Located an hour away from Norton House however the trip is worth it to discover such a beautiful place.
