Winter (December, January and February) sets the scene for a truly romantic wedding at Crathorne Hall Hotel and if you are lucky enough to get a dusting of snow, your wedding photos really will look like a fairytale winter wonderland.
The light can be amazing for your wedding photography; by using fairy lights, roaring fires, hurricane lamps and church candles adorning our North Yorkshire wedding venue, it will look spectacular. With colder weather your wedding party can accessorise with feathered shawls and oversized scarves or for a more dazzling look why not hold your wedding on New Year’s Eve. A perfect excuse for a black tie affair and party that lasts into the early hours.
With flowers in more limited supply during winter, you can embrace a more dramatic look and feel to your décor with bouquets and arrangements of red winter berries, snow covered acorns and glittering metallic’s. Of course, Christmas colours can set the theme for your wedding and our Drawing Room makes the ideal luxurious setting for a festive banquet.
A winter wedding allows for dark nights, sparklers, and copious amounts of comfort food. Your guests will not be leaving hungry or unsatisfied, you can offer them hot chocolate and mince pies to nibble on, followed by a warming winter meal with hot chocolate fudge cake, sticky toffee pudding and custard to follow. It’s the most wonderful time of the year – for a wedding!
