Winter (December, January and February) sets the scene for a truly romantic wedding at Buxted Park Hotel and if you are lucky enough to get a dusting of snow, your wedding photos really will look like a fairytale winter wonderland.
The light can be amazing for your wedding photography; by using candles, tea lights, open fires and lanterns adorning our Sussex wedding venue, it will look spectacular. With colder weather your wedding party can accessorise with fur wraps, fluffy boleros or a velvet cloak or for a more dazzling look why not hold your wedding on New Year’s Eve. A perfect excuse for a black tie affair and party that lasts into the early hours.
With flowers in more limited supply during winter, you can embrace a more dramatic look and feel to your décor with bouquets and arrangements of evergreen foliage or holly wreathes and fairy lights. Of course, Christmas colours can set the theme for your wedding and our Ballroom makes the ideal luxurious setting for a festive banquet.
A winter wedding allows for salted dark chocolate cookies with hot chocolate , and copious amounts of comfort food. Your guests will not be leaving hungry or unsatisfied, you can offer cranberry margaritas with honey and wholegrain mustard roasted mini sausages to nibble on, followed by a version of Christmas banquet and rich dark chocolate tart with Christmas pudding ice cream or coffee brandy crème brulee to follow. It’s the most wonderful time of the year – for a wedding!
