Longleat Safari and Adventure Park, in Wiltshire, England, was opened in 1966 as the first drive-through safari park outside Africa. 45 minutes from Bailbrook House, make us your base for a weekend break.

Less than a one hour drive from Bath, nestled in 900 acres of Capability Brown landscaped gardens, is Longleat Safari and Adventure Park. A trip to the UK’s first, and best, safari park is a fantastic day out for the whole family, and makes a great day trip from Bath if you’re basing yourself in the city.

Longleat is home to over 1,000 animals, many of which reside in the Main Square. You’ll be taken aback by the impressive Longleat House, where you can step back through over 450 years of history. Did you know it’s one of the finest Elizabethan stately homes in the country? Descendants still live in parts of the house, but 15 spectacular rooms are open for public viewing.

Local attractions and things to do in the area may not be open all year round and may require pre-booking. Please check the attraction website before visiting to avoid disappointment.
