This festive twist on a classic makes for the most idyllic Christmas tipple. Give it a try and see for yourself.


  • 1/2 pear washed, deseeded and sliced thinly 
  • 2 clementines washed and sliced thinly 
  • 1/2 apple washed, deseeded and sliced thinly 
  • 75g pomegranate seeds (Arils)
  • 25g light brown sugar
  • 1/2 x cinnamon stick 
  • 1/2 x bottle of red wine
  • 350ml pomegranate juice
  • 125ml fresh orange juice
  • 500ml ginger ale

1. Put all of the ingredients in a large jug, apart from the ginger ale
2. Stir well and cover and refrigerate overnight
3. To serve - pour over ice into glasses 3/4 full an top with ginger ale
