Space and style on offer following a £10 million restoration
April 2014: The architecturally splendid, Grade II* listed Bailbrook House Hotel in Bath, designed by the famous architect John Eveleigh, is one of Bath’s most popular wedding and celebration venues. Transformed by a £10 million restoration in 2013, the hotel is set within 20 acres of private grounds and offers far-reaching views over England’s only world heritage city.
A four star country house hotel, Bailbrook House Hotel holds a licence for marriages and civil partnerships. Offering a magical backdrop for celebrations, the Brunel Suite is the hotel’s biggest event space and is perfect for larger weddings, with a capacity of 130 for a wedding breakfast. Complete with six glittering chandeliers and floor to ceiling glass doors opening out on to a terrace area, the suite also features its own bar area. For smaller weddings of up to 80 guests, or to host ceremonies, the Lansdown is the hotel’s ideal smaller space.
The wisteria clad Mansion House and its architectural features create a beautiful setting for wedding photographs. Within the Mansion House there is a conservatory bar that can be used to host a drinks reception, before guests head to the main celebration spaces in the adjacent Bailbrook Court.
With 94 bedrooms, it is perfect for the whole wedding party to stay. Within the Mansion House there are 13 prestigious feature bedrooms and suites, many of which offer original fireplaces, roll-top baths and large bedrooms, while in Bailbrook Court, there are 81 contemporary classic and executive bedrooms, all of which have been refurbished to a high standard.
The hotel is not only in a stunning location overlooking Bath, but is also close to motorways and good transport links, with plenty of parking available. The hotel is just a short taxi ride from Bath Spa train station.
