Villa Saletta
Nestled in the heart of Tuscany is Villa Saletta - an historic estate with a rich agricultural heritage and home to a modern, boutique winery owned by Julia and Guy Hands, the founders of Hand Picked Hotels.
The rolling Tuscan hills, a medieval borgo village and ancient farmhouses all bear witness to centuries of transformation. Today, three lovingly renovated villas offer guests an opportunity to experience a deeper connection with the history and landscape of the Villa Saletta estate.

We work with the land, enriching the soil with the help of the right technology, so that it has everything it needs to flourish. The harvest is the moment of truth.
The highest quality grapes are selected twice by hand: first immediately after picking and then after the de-stemming, berry by berry, in order to ensure that only fully ripe berries go into our wines.

GROUNDED BY HERITAGE
The roots of Villa Saletta span centuries, owned by four families throughout its history. Supporting biodiversity across the estate is a key focus and therefore much of the landscape is given over to mixed agricultural use.
We are striving to restore an incredible heritage as a working fattoria, producing the finest raw ingredients Tuscany offers.
LUXURIOUS HOSPITALITY
Hospitality is at the centre of Villa Saletta. Our guests are invited to stay in one of three meticulously renovated villas, all of which remain true to their past with traditional terracotta tiled floors laid in typical Etruscan patterns, painted window shutters and vaulted ceilings.
Explore the 1,760-acre estate through hiking forest trails and wandering the peaceful vineyards.
OUR WINES
The Villa Saletta estate produces a range of phenomenal wines, some of which are archetypal examples of the Tuscan style, others which, by virtue of technique, are more reminiscent of the finest Bordeaux crus, but with an unmistakable Italian flair.
Our wines are aged for at least 24 months, with testing and tasting taking place throughout the ageing cycle.
