Ever thought of combining the power of meditation whilst enjoying a lovely hot bath? If you’re a daily bath person or not there is no better time to try this out!

Make time

Block off at least 15 minutes where you won’t be interrupted. Switch off your phone and tell others in your household not to disturb you.

Use bath products with ‘meaningful’ aromas

As you run the bath, you may want to incorporate some of the benefits of aromatherapy products e.g. use bubble-bath or bath oils scented with lavender, sandalwood or geranium (shown to be relaxing, soothing and restorative), peppermint eucalyptus and grapefruit (if you want to detox, energise and restore), or another scents that you really like.  Don’t worry just use your sense of smell, your body will tell you what it needs and when it needs it!

Relax and focus on your breathing

Let your breathing become slower and deeper, allowing your belly to rise and fall with each breath (instead of your shoulders or chest). This type of breathing is more natural and will help you de-stress
