This guided tour under enchanting candlelight will explore the traditions of a Tudor Christmas (Christmastide). Discover how our ancestors would have celebrated this time of year, including wassailing, symbolic meanings of decorations, and traditional ingredients in mince pies. Indulge in warm spiced beverages of mulled cider or apple juice and festive mince pies as you enjoy traditional Tudor music and magical dance performances at Shakespeare's birthplace.
Santa Fun Day & Fayre
On the 10th of December, it's Santa Fun Day, dress up as Santa and take part in a family fun activity course. At the end, receive a medal and then get into the festive spirit at the Christmas fayre full of crafts, raffles, mulled wine, and mince pies, all in aid of fundraising for The Shakespeare Hospice. For the kids, there will also be a special Santa Post Box, where they can send their Christmas list straight to Santa in Lapland.
