If you fancy a taste of the tropics this winter, we've partnered with Caleño (the Mail on Sunday’s No.1 non-alcoholic spirit) to bring you a gin alternative that is just as good, if not better than the real thing.

Caleño is a zingy gin alternative, inspired by Colombia, that makes ‘not drinking’ a joy. Its tropical infusion of juniper, citrus and spice botanicals make a beautiful base to any drink. 

Being the designated driver has never been more tempting! Here are some of our favourite recipes:

El Dorado

  • 50ml Caleño
  • 3-4 Inca berries
  • 25ml Raw honey syrup 
  • 10ml fresh lemon juice
  • Mix with Inca berries and crushed ice



  • 50ml Caleño
  • 10ml freshly squeezed lime juice
  • Top with pineapple juice



  • 50ml Caleño
  • 25ml fresh lime juice
  • 15ml Gomme
  • 5ml Monin Anise Syrup
  • 5-10 drops of MS Betters Miraculous Foamer
  • Shake, strain and garnish with a star anise


Caleño Collins

  • 50ml Caleño
  • 10ml fresh lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp honey 
  • Top with soda water and a slice of lemon zest
