We know that planning a wedding can be overwhelming, so let us assure you that our specialised wedding coordinator will help you every step of the way to create your perfect wedding day with you.
What do I need to do first?
Please choose a preferred date for your wedding and either give us a call on 0845 072 7593 or complete an online enquiry form with your information. Our Wedding Specialist will contact you to start the planning.
Can I hold my ceremony at the hotel?
You sure can! Our Great Chamber is a perfect location for your ceremony and is licensed for 75 guests (including yourselves). Please enquire about rental fees and availability.
What is the next stage in organising the registrar?
Before confirming your wedding with New Hall, we advise you to contact Birmingham Registry office to hold a date for the civil ceremony. Once you have confirmed your wedding date with New Hall and we will give you a form to take to Birmingham Registry office to confirm your ceremony.
How late can my wedding go?
Your wedding must end by midnight. With respect to the hotel guests staying in-house they can continue to use the hotel lounge bar as late as they please.
Can I have a band to perform for the wedding reception?
Unfortunately we do not have a band license at the property so this would not be permitted.
Can you customise the menu?
Of course! Our award winning chefs will work with you to create a menu for your wedding day.
Can we do a tasting?
We understand that great food is definitely an important aspect of a wonderful wedding. We do offer a menu tasting to ensure your perfect wedding breakfast selection. Please refer to your wedding contract for the costs of the menu tasting.
Do I need a wedding planner or coordinator?
Our wedding specialist will assist you with the details of your reception at New Hall Hotel however it is always recommended to have a wedding coordinator who will be the point person for all the other details to make sure your day is perfect.
Can I bring our own wine?
At Hand Picked we have spent many (enjoyable) hours building up impressive cellars at our hotels and we are confident that we will be able to find the perfect wine to compliment your dish.
Can we use confetti at New Hall?
Yes we ask that it is biodegradable / natural confetti and that it is only used in the Rose Garden & Terrace areas - which incidentally is a perfect location for your group wedding photos.
When will I need to let you know of the final guest count?
Your guaranteed guest count is due at your final details meeting which is normally 6-8 weeks prior to your wedding. Once this number is provided to us, the number of guests may be increased, but cannot decrease in terms of liability for payment.
Do you offer special guest room rates?
We offer a complimentary bedroom for the bride and groom on the wedding night when you choose one of the Wedding Packages. We can extend discounted rates for your family and friends. Rates vary depending on season and availability. We would be happy to offer you 15 rooms at the negotiated rate and your guests should contact the hotel directly to confirm and make their reservations. Arrival times for accommodation is 3pm and departure time is 11am.
Minimum numbers may be applicable for bedroom on certain dates.
Do you have parking onsite?
We have an onsite car park for approximately 100 vehicles.
What suppliers can I use? Do you have any recommendations?
The only suppliers we restrict you to are the DJ's as we have a very specialist sound system we recommend that if you would like a DJ, to use one of our approved suppliers. Our wedding specialist can recommend a list of handpicked suppliers that can help create your dream wedding, including wedding cakes, florists, photographers and videographers. All suppliers must bring their own equipment and confirm their set-up times prior to the wedding date. Due to our limited space, we cannot guarantee storage of any equipment before or after.
Can we hire a chocolate fountain?
Yes. They are able to operate in the Garden Pavilion for your evening reception. If you decide to hire a chocolate fountain the carpet will need to be cleaned following your wedding, therefore a charge of £150 will be added to your agreement. Should you hire a chocolate fountain from The Chocolate Rocket, this charged will be waived.
Can we have fireworks at New Hall?
Unfortunately we are restricted by the land and the Grade 1 listed building therefore this is not something that can be carried out on the hotel grounds.
What is the payment schedule?
The wedding package pricing does include the service charge and tax. There will be a non-refundable deposit £1500 required with your signed contract to reserve the date. At 9 months prior to function date: £1500. At 6 months prior to function date: 50% of the outstanding balance of estimated charges. At 6 weeks prior to function date: 100% of the outstanding balance of estimated charges.
Do I need to have wedding insurnace?
Nothing should spoil your big day thats why having wedding insurance can help give you peace of mind when you are planning your special day. We recommend you take out your own wedding insurance as this not included in the packages at New Hall.
