Visit Europe’s largest ballooning event and make a weekend of it at Bailbrook House Hotel.
From Thursday 6 to Sunday 9 of August, Europe’s largest ballooning event will take place in Britain and it’s free. The Bristol International Balloon Fiesta is in its 37th year and will see a mass ascent of over 100 balloons throughout the weekend. The Fiesta has become as much of an icon for Bristol as Brunel and Banksy, so why not make a weekend of it and stay at Bailbrook House Hotel, just a few minutes from the centre of historic Bath.
Although the city is well known for its beautifully preserved architecture and iconic landmarks – including the Roman Baths and Royal Crescent, there are plenty of other things to do in Bath. You could take to the skies with a hot air balloon flight, or if you prefer being on ground level explore the magnificent caves at Cheddar Gorge, or the extensive Safari Park at Longleat.
Whilst Bath offers a mellow café culture submerged in rich heritage, in contrast Bristol is one of the most cultural and vibrant cities outside of London. So, if you fancy a world away from our exquisitely restored Georgian country mansion and peaceful parkland, then the hustle and bustle of Bristol’s cosmopolitan bars and shops is just a few miles away.
Bailbrook House is one of two Grade II listed hotels in Bath, set within 20 acres of private grounds with commanding views of the city and adjoining countryside. In less than a year since re-opening Bailbrook House, it is now one of the best 4 star hotels in Bath. It’s the perfect base for exploring Somerset’s gems and to create a memorable and fun weekend for you and your family.
