Our Commitment to Safety - Jersey
As a business we are committed to serving quality food in an environment that both our team members and our customers can feel safe in, certain that the strictest procedures and protocols regarding the management of COVID-19 are being adhered to in all areas at all times.
This requires that both us as a business, and you as our guest, respect the guidelines that have been put in place for the safety of those around us. Acting together, we will ensure an enjoyable and safe experience for all.
We ask that the following steps are practiced and respected by all our guests:
Only guests with pre-booked reservations will be accepted. Walk-ins are discouraged to avoid disappointment
Guests’ will be asked to complete a verbal health declaration in respect to all members of the party prior to entering the premises
Guests’ temperature will be taken on entry to the hotel and anyone with a temperature over 38c will be refused entry. A non-contact infrared thermometer will be used
All guests are required to sanitise their hands on entering and leaving the premises with sanitiser provided
Physical distancing as per the latest guidance must be practiced and respected at all times
Toilets are available and signage will be in place – please practice a one in, one out, policy
We only accept contactless or Debit/Credit card payments. Regrettably we are no longer accepting cash as a payment method
Reservations are available for bedrooms, spa treatments and dining
No visitors to guest rooms, other than those registered at Reception
An alcoholic beverage service without food is permitted from Friday 1st July via table service only. A reservation is required
For dining, arrivals will be staggered and a two hour dining time limit per table will be in place
A maximum of eight guests per table will be accepted. More than one household are permitted to dine or stay together as long as current physical distancing measures are maintained
When visiting the Terrace at L'Horizon the main hotel entrance may not be used and entrance to the Terrace is only available from the promenade to the rear of the hotel
When visiting the Terrace at Grand Jersey the entrance from the Esplanade via the steps may not be used and entrance to the Terrace is only available from opposite the main entrance of the hotel
Spa treatment times will be staggered and a limited treatment menu is in operation
Use of the fitness facilities is restricted. Hotel residents must book a timeslot through the Spa Reception for access
Changing rooms including the showers are not permitted to be used as per government guidance. Appropriate attire is strongly recommended.
Use of the hydro pool is by a one in, one out, policy
When visiting the Spa at L'Horizon the main hotel entrance may not be used and entrance to the Spa is only available from their dedicated entrance adjacent to the main hotel entrance
When visiting the Spa at Grand Jersey the main hotel entrance is used, keeping left when walking down the corridors.
As a business we promise to adopt the following:
All team members will complete a weekly health declaration form
All team members will have their temperature taken before starting each shift and only be permitted to work if within the guideline limits
Disposable gloves will be worn by all team members on duty. These will be changed frequently throughout their shift. Team members will also wash their hands at least once every 30 minutes in line with Government of Jersey guidelines. Additionally those working within indoor areas are provided with face coverings. PPE will be made available for all team members in all areas
Team members will adhere to physical distancing as per the government guidance wherever possible
All PDQ (payment) machines will be sanitized after every use
All tables and chairs will be cleaned and sanitised between each booking
Tables will also be cleaned prior to each new table sitting down
Strict hygiene and cleaning practices will be in operation in all areas and on a continuous basis
Toilets will be cleaned every 30 minutes
All team members have been trained on how to minimise the risk of transmission of COVID-19 and on infection control procedures applicable to their tasks
Physical barriers such as Perspex screens will be installed in high contact areas
Signage, barriers, floor & wall stickers and decals will be in place to help you navigate independently.
Considering travelling to Jersey?
Before travelling to Jersey, please be aware of the below guidelines:
1. Complete an online registration form before departure at https://www.gov.je/Health/Coronavirus/Travel/Pages/CoronavirusTravelAdvice.aspx
2. Receive the test on arrival to Jersey airport
3. Await to receive your results within 48 hours, in this time you should try and where possible avoid indoor gatherings and public transport whilst maintaining physical distancing
4. If you are looking to book a spa treatment, a clear test must be received before a treatment can be performed.
