Our Commitment to Safety - Jersey

As a business we are committed to serving quality food in an environment that both our team members and our customers can feel safe in, certain that the strictest procedures and protocols regarding the management of COVID-19 are being adhered to in all areas at all times.

This requires that both us as a business, and you as our guest, respect the guidelines that have been put in place for the safety of those around us.  Acting together, we will ensure an enjoyable and safe experience for all.

We ask that the following steps are practiced and respected by all our guests:

  • Only guests with pre-booked tables will be accepted.  No walk-ins will be permitted
  • Reservations are for dining only. Alcoholic beverages can be sold with food, but outdoor drinking is not permitted without the consumption of food
  • Guests’ will be asked to complete a verbal health declaration in respect to all members of the party prior to entering the premises
  • Guests’ temperature will be taken on entry to the restaurant and anyone with a temperature over 38c will be refused entry.  A non-contact infrared thermometer will be used
  • All guests are required to sanitise their hands on entering and leaving the Terrace restaurant with sanitiser provided
  • Two metre distancing must be practiced and respected at all times 
  • Arrivals will be staggered and a two hour dining time limit per table will be in place
  • A maximum of four guests per table (guests must only be from within your household)
  • Toilets are available and signage will be in place – please practice a one in, one out, policy
  • We only accept contactless or Debit/Credit card payments. Regrettably we are no longer accepting cash as a payment method
  • When visiting the Terrace at L'Horizon the main hotel entrance may not be used and entrance to the Terrace is only available from the promenade to the rear of the hotel
  • When visiting the Terrace at Grand Jersey the entrance from the Esplanade via the steps may not be used and entrance to the Terrace is only available from opposite the main entrance of the hotel

 

As a business we promise to adopt the following:

  • All team members will complete a weekly health declaration form
  • All team members will have their temperature taken before starting each shift and only be permitted to work if within the guideline limits
  • Disposable gloves will be worn by all team members on duty. These will be changed frequently throughout their shift. Team members will also wash their hands at least once every 30 minutes in line with Jersey Government guidelines
  • Team members will adhere to two metre distancing where possible
  • All PDQ (payment) machines will be sanitized after every use
  • All tables and chairs will be cleaned and sanitised between each booking. Tables will also be cleaned prior to each new table sitting down
  • Strict hygiene and cleaning practices will be in operation in all areas and on a continuous basis 
  • Toilets will be cleaned every 30 minutes
  • All team members have been trained on how to minimise the risk of transmission of COVID-19 and on infection control procedures applicable to their tasks
  • Closure of the Terrace in the event of severe adverse weather, given there is no inside alternative for diners.
