Careers at Chilston Park Hotel

A country house hotel in Kent full of style and charm.

The hotel

Chilston Park Hotel is a Grade I listed country manor dating back to the 17th century and is set in 22 acres of rolling parkland with a lake. The 2 AA Rosette and 4 red star awarded hotel has 53 uniquely styled bedrooms and an excellent selection of conference, banqueting and fine dining facilities.

The local area

We are situated in the beautiful Kent countryside four miles from the village of Lenham. It has all of the essential amenities such as a shop, post office, bank and many pubs. We are a 15 minute car journey from Maidstone or Ashford, which have large shopping centres as well as leisure facilities including a cinema.

Public transport

The nearest public transport is Lenham train station, with direct trains to London and a two-mile walk from the hotel.

Live-in accommodation

Our 16 bedrooms on site all have access to a bathroom which is usually shared with only one other person. Each room is furnished and offers single occupancy, a TV, freeview box and free WiFi.  There is access to a laundry room equipped with washing machines and a dryer. All meals are provided and clean linen is available on a weekly basis. A welcome pack containing all you need will help you settle in upon your arrival.

What is it like to work at the hotel?

Some team members have described their feelings when arriving at Chilston Park as those they feel when coming home. The family atmosphere is something that helps us to work hard and pull together to ensure guests receive the fantastic red star service we are so proud of. But it is not all work and no play: we enjoy the times we spend together socially, such as trips off-site or at our Christmas and summer parties. Making sure that all team members are happy and reach their potential is important to us as well, meaning we have a strong focus on providing training and development.
