In 2000, when Julia Hands created Hand Picked Hotels, she had a vision for the company that remains as true today as it was then.  Our Hand Picked Vision has been constant and has focused the direction of the group for over 10 years.

Our mission

To become the UK's leading collection of 4 star country house hotels by creating a positive and memorable experience for each guest through service that focuses on individual needs in a unique and inspiring atmosphere.

Our Values

We also have four core Hand Picked Values that support our Vision.  They are our guide for what is really important to us; the core principles that help us decide how we do business, build relationships both internally and externally and make decisions about the way we work.

Mutual to our local community

Supporting the local community is very important to each hotel and activities range from working to raise money and awareness for local charities, offering work experience placements to students from local schools and colleges and buying and promoting food and drink from nearby producers and farmers.

An extended family

The best hotels are often family-run, and so is Hand Picked. Working as a team in the hotel and across the Collection is how we deliver great levels of service to the guest and to each other.  As a Hand Picked person, you will become a member of our very special and close-knit family.

Your opinion counts in Hand Picked Hotels and you will have many opportunities, both formally and informally, to contribute to the development of our business. Many of our brand standards were created from a good idea developed by a team member in one of our hotels that we adopted as best practice for all our hotels.

Each of our hotels is architecturally unique and individual in style but however stunning the property, it is the people who create the spirit of Hand Picked Hotels.
