As part of our Spring Gin Getaway offer we are treating our guests to a refreshing gin and tonic made using Chase GB Gin. And here's why...

Hand Picked Hotels have partnered with Chase Distillery to provide our guests with even more home grown goodness. Chase, a family business with a passion for farming, operate a "field to bottle" process whereby they grown the potatoes and apples which form the basis of their spirits. Chase believe that, much like people care about the terroir of their wines or the barrel aging of their whiskies, the traceability of white spirits should be up there too. 

That's something we really agree with... Each of our kitchen teams within our 19 hotels are passionate about using the best of local produce in dishes with some even able to grown their own within the gardens. We extend this passion for good quality ingredients to the suppliers that we work with to ensure that we are offering our guests the best.

When it comes to gin, Chase use botanicals in their distilling process to draw out the best aspects and compliment the mineral earthiness found in the spirit. Chase GB Gin is made by copper pot distilling Chase Vodka which is then infused with juniper, to ensure the driest gin possible, followed by cinnamon, ginger, almond, coriander, cardamom, cloves, angelica root, liquorice root and lemon peels to deliver a distinct, full-bodied flavour.

Fragrant, juniper, lemon & cinnamon

A long extra dry finish

GB & T

50ml Chase GB Gin | Tonic water top

Combine ingredients over plenty of cubed ice. Stir gently and garnish with a slice of fresh ginger

 

GB Bramble

40ml Chase GB Gin | 15ml fresh lemon juice | 15ml sugar syrup | 15ml Chase Oak-Aged Sloe & Mulberry Gin

Combine the first GB Gin, lemon juice and sugar syrup in a rocks glass with crushed ice. Top with more crushed ice and add Sloe Gin. Garnish with blackberries and a ginger slice.
