What do I need to do first?

Please choose a preferred date for your wedding and either give us a call on 0845 072 7516 or complete an online enquiry form with your information. It may be wise to have a few dates in mind in case your preferred date is not available.

We always ask you come in to see us before we hold a date for you, that way we are able to create a picture of what your requirements are and what package will suit you best.

What is the next stage in organising the registrar?

You will need to speak with the Fareham Registry office on 01329289733 to ensure they can conduct your ceremony on your preferred date.

Can I hold my ceremony at the hotel?

Yes - 3 of our function rooms are licensed to hold a civil ceremony, holding between 10 and 130 guests.

Can we use confetti at Rhinefield House?

Yes as long as it’s natural or bio-degradable.

How late can my wedding go on?

Your evening entertainment and private bar are licensed up until midnight. We can apply for a bar extension on your behalf for an additional cost, meaning you and your guests can enjoy a private bar until 1am. All entertainment must finish at midnight.

Can you customise the menu?

Of course! Our award winning chefs will work with you to create a menu for your wedding day.

Can we do a tasting?

Absolutely! You and your partner will need to choose 2 starters, 2 main courses and 2 desserts you think sound delicious and we invite you down to the hotel to try them along with the house wines.

This is generally done 3 months before your big day.

Please see individual packages as to what is at an additional cost.

Can we bring our own wine?

As the hotel is renowned for its fine wine, we do not encourage corkage.

What is the maximum number of people the Grand Hall can accommodate for my Wedding breakfast?

Using a straight top table of 12, 8 round tables of 10 and 1 round table of 11 the maximum is 103. Using all round tables the maximum is 101. An additional 30 guests can be seated up on the Minstrel's Gallery.

Are we allowed candles?

Candles can be placed and lit on the tables so long as they are encased in holders which are twice the height of the flame; however, candles cannot be lit anywhere else in the room.

What is the largest band you can accommodate?

We recommend no more than a five piece band due to the size of the room the evening reception is held in.

When will I need to let you know of the final guest count?

We ask you advise us no later than 5 days before of your final numbers.

Do you offer special guest room rates?

15 Bedrooms can be booked for the wedding night and a further 10 on a two night basis. If you require additional bedrooms they will be priced at the hotel selling rate for that day.

Do you have parking onsite?

Yes, we have over 100 parking spaces at the hotel - there is no additional charge for parking.

What suppliers can I use? Do you have any recommendations?

Yes, we have an extensive list of highly recommended suppliers from florists, photographers and evening entertainment to chocolate fountains and ice sculptures.

If you feel more comfortable using your own suppliers we are more than happy for this to happen.

Can the florist set up the day before?

Set up is reserved for you and your suppliers on the morning of the wedding.

Can we have fireworks at Rhinefield?

Our grounds can accommodate Fireworks, however we only allow the use of low noise fireworks and will only work with two reccommended suppliers - see our suppliers list.

Where can I have my photos taken?

There are no restrictions on where you can have your photographs in the Hotel gardens. Should the weather be unkind you can use the inside of Hotel. We recommend that your photographer comes and looks at the venue prior to the date.

Do you have more than one wedding on the same day?

Generally we only have one wedding a day; however we can occasionally hold additional weddings. Please rest assured that the timings are carefully organised so that the wedding parties do not clash.

What is the payment schedule?

To confirm your date we require a non refundable deposit of £1,500. A further non refundable £1,500 is required 6 months before your big day. The balance then has to be settled 6 weeks before your wedding day.
