Be Involved at The Priest House Hotel
As visitors to the Priest House we would love to involve you in enjoying some of the activities we feel make a difference at the hotel but also within the local area.
Grounds and Gardens
Visit our herb garden. David Humphreys, Head Chef has carefully nurtured and cultivated The Priest House’s very own herb garden offering tarragon, mint, thyme and rosemary to name but a few.
Support the wildlife. Reception can inform you of the local wildlife that inhabit our grounds. See if you can spot them during your stay!
The Brasserie prides itself on quality of service in a relaxed environment. Try our wonderful Bakewell Tart, sourced locally in the small town of Bakewell; a firm Brasserie favourite!
Support our local area by sampling our Pork and Leek Sausages at breakfast or in the Brasserie. These sausages have been sourced form the Chatsworth Estate in Chatsworth, North Derbyshire. We are pleased to obtain these through Owen Taylors Butchers, based in Alfreton, Derbyshire.
Energy Saving / Environmental
Hand Picked Hotels is proud to have achieved the Carbon Trust Standard. You can help us and contribute to the government’s Carbon Reduction Commitment Energy Efficiency Scheme, by turning off the electricity and ‘Master’ switch in your bedroom when leaving the room.
We are always open to your suggestions on ways to help us develop our Corporate Social responsibility policy and actions. Please feel free to let reception know your thoughts on this; we are very happy to listen to ways in which we can improve.
Why not try one of our lovely walks along the bridleways and pathways of Castle Donington. Full information of these walks are included in your guest directory or alternatively at reception
