Down under the Sea

Learn about the sea and what animals live in it, find out about the fantastic fish that live there and the ecosystems of the ocean. Find the hidden fishes and make your own ocean creatures at the discovery day at the Maritime Museum!
 

 

Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust

No family holiday to Jersey is complete without a day at the Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust, where you can see over 1400 mammals, birds, reptiles and amphibians in 32 acres of beautiful gardens and parkland. Home Life Show 2010

The Jersey Evening Post Homelife Show 2010 will be staged at Fort Regent and will have more stands than any other show, encouraging exhibitors from the UK, Guernsey and France. There will be two zones at the show - The Home zone for all products relating to the home and Lifestyle Zone for all leisure, health, beauty and technology.

 

Jersey Bowl

There are 18 Bowling Lanes, all AMF equipped and built in traditional wood, with the latest animated and fully automated scoring system, perfect for a family or couples games of bowling!

 

Jersey Pearl

The largest collection of quality Pearl jewellery in the Channel Islands, ranging from the cleverly crafted to the beautifully cultured. There are guided tours and educational displays, as well as the ever popular ‘Pick a Pearl’ tanks, where you can pick your very own oyster and then have the pearl inside set onto a gold or silver pendant. 

 

Jersey Pottery

Located in the picturesque Gorey Village you will find this world renowned pottery that has grown from a cottage industry into a global retailer. All stages of the production are on display, plus a large showroom with over 600 Jersey Pottery lines, unusual gifts, a pottery museum and the do-it-yourself painting studio ‘Glaze Craze.’

 

Jersey War Tunnels

 

Open 1st March 2010 - 28th November 2010

Jersey War Tunnels is a permanent reminder of the German Occupation of Jersey, which lasted almost five years, until the island's liberation on 9th May 1945. The tunnel complex, formerly known as Höhlgangsanlage 8 (Ho8), now plays host to a series of galleries detailing Occupation history, through the diverse experiences of those who lived through it.

 

La Fete de Noue

The Island is lit up with a full programme of activities arranged to complement the lead up to the festive period. Meander through the streets of St. Helier, under a canopy of brilliant white lights and experience Thursday late night shopping and street entertainment. Living Legend

This is 9 acres of fun for all ages and a very popular island attraction. ‘The Jersey Experience’ is an award-winning multi-media re-creation of Jersey through the ages, there are two challenging 18 hole adventure golf courses, a go-karting track, craft and shopping village. This large adventure and leisure village has restaurants and is ideal for families.

 

Reg's Garden

 

Open all year round

A lovely place to sit and pass away a few hours, in a relaxing area of one and a half acres of landscaped gardens, with a large hundred and eighty feet long Koi pond with waterfall, fairy garden, bird aviary/sanctuary and amphitheatre. The garden has won the Jersey Tourism Silver Bowl major award two years following, for the best 'open garden.'

 

The Pottery at Belvedere Terrace

 

Open all year round by arrangement

Featuring a large ground floor gallery stocking over 300 pieces of unique hand-thrown stoneware pottery, designed and produced by American potter, Theresa Robinson. Theresa has been producing a large and varied range of functional pots, as well as one-off pieces in her Jersey studio 1999 and is also a visiting lecturer at the local Art College.

 

Vintage Fair

The Vintage Fair at St.Aubin will be selling collectable items and unique gifts from the 1900’s to the 1970’s. Art Deco, Art Nouveau, the Arts & Craft Movement, studio ceramics, prints, books, vintage French linen & clothing, country furniture, cushions, fabric and throws, jewellery, copper, silver, glass ware, post cards and ephemera, a treasure trove of charming vintage pieces, which will fit into any contemporary interior.
