ROOKERY HALL HOTEL & SPA, CHESHIRE, WINS AWARD
Cheshire hotel, Rookery Hall Hotel & Spa, wins Hand Picked Hotels’ prestigious ‘Hotel of the Year Award 2012’
Rookery Hall Hotel & Spa, in Nantwich, Cheshire, has been awarded Hand Picked Hotels’ most prestigious accolade, ‘Hotel of the Year’, at the 2012 awards.
Hand Picked Hotels, a collection of 17 country house hotels located across the UK, holds an annual ceremony to celebrate the achievements of the hotels in the collection. Awarded to the hotel who continuously strives to deliver the highest standard of service possible to its guests, coupled with strong financial performance, the ‘Hotel of the Year Award’ is the most prestigious of the awards and Rookery Hall Hotel & Spa triumphed over 17 quality nominations from the Hand Picked Hotels collection.
2012 was a fantastic year for the Cheshire Hotel. The Spa onsite at Rookery Hall Hotel was given the five bubble award by the Good Spa Guide, the authority on quality spas in the UK, and the hotel experienced double digit growth in hotel profit, with occupancy over 70% for the year.
Stephen Fearnley, General Manager of Rookery Hall Hotel & Spa, is delighted with the award: "It is a great honour to win this award – a real confidence boost and motivator for all the team here. We’ve worked really hard over the years to achieve and maintain our high standards so I am delighted to see it paying off and our staff being recognised for their dedication."
The three other major Hand Picked Hotel awards included ‘Employee of the Year 2012’, which was awarded to Jonathan West, Maintenance Manager at New Hall Hotel & Spa in Sutton Coldfield, Birmingham; ‘Most Improved Performance 2012’, won by Audleys Wood Hotel in Basingstoke, Hampshire; and ‘Most Consistent Performance 2012’ which was won by Crathorne Hall Hotel near Yarm, North Yorkshire, last year’s Hand Picked Hotel of the Year.
Built in 1816 and set in 38 acres, Rookery Hall Hotel & Spa is a four-star deluxe country hotel with 70 bedrooms and a 2AA Rosette restaurant. The award-winning spa has an 18 meter swimming pool, hydrotherapy pool, crystal steam room, sauna and relaxation rooms as well as health and fitness facilities.
