Rookery Hall Hotel & Spa wins 'Best Hotel Restaurant' of the year award...
Rookery Hall Hotel & Spa, a stunning Georgian country house hotel in Nantwich, Cheshire, has won the Best Hotel Restaurant prize, announced this week (19 November 2013) at the third annual Dining Out Awards, part of a contest staged by Nantwich Food and Drink Festival.
For the third year running, General Manager at Rookery Hall Hotel & Spa, Stephen Fearnley, and 2013 quarter-finalist Master Chef contestant, acting Head Chef Michael Batters, were presented with the prestigious local award at the presentation ceremony.
This year has seen a record 3000 votes cast by local diners on the dedicated Nantwich Food & Drink Festival website for the five categories; Best Restaurant, Best Hotel Restaurant, Best Café, Best Pub with Food and Best Cup of Coffee. Nearly one hundred dining establishments were nominated; with votes cast being based on the quality of food, ambience and welcome at each venue.
Stephen Fearnley, General Manager, said: “To win Best Hotel Restaurant at the Nantwich Food & Drink Festival Dining Out Awards for the third year in a row is a phenomenal achievement, particularly given that this year saw a record number of votes and almost one hundred establishments nominated. This tops off what has been a great year for Rookery Hall Hotel & Spa, and I would like to thank my team in all that we have achieved in 2013”.
Rookery Hall Hotel & Spa recently won the coveted Four Red Stars Award at the AA Hospitality Awards ceremony in 2013; one of just 18 top hotels in the UK this year to celebrate newly-awarded AA Red Stars.
Set in 38 acres, Rookery Hall Hotel & Spa is part of the award-winning Hand Picked Hotels collection of 20 country house hotels which won the most prestigious category in the AA Hospitality Awards in 2012, ‘AA Large Hotel Group of the Year’.
